LA-based artist Ramiro Gomez, whose work is included in the current Whitney Biennial, has been relentlessly calling attention to the marginal, often immigrant workers whose ill-paid labors undergird so much of our economy: Many of them suddenly subject to a cruel and rampaging campaign, intent on decimating their families and wrecking their meager livelihoods.
